Colorado State holds on for Border War win against Wyoming 78-73

LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) – Che Bob scored 17 factors, Nico Carvacho grabbed thirteen rebounds and Colorado State held off Wyoming seventy eight-seventy three on Saturday.

The Cowboys raced to a 6-zero lead earlier than Colorado State (10-9, three-three Mountain West) poured it on with a 22-three run over a 9½-minute span and by no means trailed once more.

Wyoming (eleven-7, 2-three) responded and outscored Colorado State 20-eight over the ultimate eight minutes of the primary half and trailed 30-29 at halftime. Bob began the second half with a jumper, Prentiss Nixon adopted with a three-level play and Carvacho’s layup – that adopted a three from Wyoming’s Hayden Dalton – made it 37-32.

Bob made a pair of free throws and Nixon made three of four within the final seven seconds to seal the win. Nixon scored sixteen and J.D. Paige added 14.

Dalton and Alan Herndon every scored 18 factors and Justin James scored sixteen and made 10 of 12 free throws for Wyoming.
