Lake Geneva man dies following head-on crash in Walworth County



WALWORTH COUNTY — Walworth County officers report a 37-yr-previous from Lake Geneva, died following a head-on crash that occurred on Freeway 12 close to South Street — on the Wisconsin/Illinois State line — within the Village of Genoa Metropolis.

The crash occurred round 7:25 a.m. on Tuesday, December fifth.

In accordance with the Walworth County Sheriff’s Workplace, a 2014 minivan was touring east on Freeway 12, when it crossed the middle line and crashed head-on right into a westbound semi tractor/trailer.

Regardless of lifesaving efforts, the driving force of the minivan, 37-yr-previous Allen Bates of Lake Geneva, was pronounced lifeless on the scene.

The driving force of the semi tractor/trailer, a forty nine-yr-previous from Wyoming, Michigan, was not injured within the crash.

The crash stays underneath investigation by the Walworth County Sheriff’s Workplace Crash Investigation Unit.
