Man on Greyhound bus threatened to kill; was in US illegally

WADSWORTH, Ailing. — Authorities have arrested a 33-yr-previous man aboard a Greyhound bus — who was in the USA illegally — after a police chase that started when a number of passengers referred to as to say a person claiming to have a gun was threatening to kill individuals.

Margarito Vargas-Rosas is being held in Lake County, Illinois, and is dealing with costs for felony terroristic threats and disorderly conduct.

Officers say this incident started round 10:00 p.m. Friday, January twelfth, when the pursuit involving the bus was initiated in southeast Wisconsin. The pursuit crossed into Illinois and ended on the I-ninety four eastbound exit ramp to Illinois Route 173.

“Once we first acquired right here it was fairly loopy, a lot of cop automobiles, a lot of visitors backed up. It has settled down fairly a bit and it appears to be resolving which is nice,” Ashley Goodes who lives close by stated.

Authorities say the topic was taken into custody round 12:30 a.m.

Roughly 37 passengers aboard the bus have been safely eliminated — and there are not any accidents reported.

“I am glad to listen to it was resolved and everybody’s okay,” Goodes stated.

Greyhound officers say introduced a aid bus to the scene to select up passengers and take them to Chicago.

Due to this incident, all lanes of southbound I-ninety four close to Wisconsin 50 in Kenosha County have been shut down for a time.
