Cam shows man shooting Salem police officer; suspect now in custody


SALEM, Ore. — A Salem police officer conducting a visitors stop was shot Tuesday night time, in accordance with the Salem Police Department.

The suspect, who had fled to his house close to the incident, was taken into police custody 12 hours after the capturing. A police tactical staff had surrounded the constructing.

By 9 a.m. police reported the suspect was in custody.

Close by Highland Elementary Faculty was closed Wednesday for security causes.
