IOC marketing chair from Japan investigated for corruption

Worldwide Olympic Committee advertising chair Tsunekazu Takeda is being investigated for suspected corruption related to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, France’s monetary crimes office stated Friday.

The Nationwide Monetary Prosecutors office stated Takeda, who can also be the president of the Japanese Olympic Committee, was placed beneath formal investigation for “lively corruption” on Dec. 10.
