Two Jacksonville cops have been involved in crashes Tuesday afternoon within 90 minutes of each other, in accordance with the Sheriff’s Workplace.
Within the second case, investigators stated the officer ran a stop sign earlier than hitting a van.
The primary crash occurred about 5:30 p.m. at Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway and Myrtle Avenue as officers have been responding to help one other officer for a disturbance involving a large crowd of individuals, the Sheriff’s Workplace stated. A marked patrol automotive with lights and siren on was heading south when it hit one other car. One individual was transported to a hospital as a precaution, whereas the officer didn’t sustain any accidents.
Then about 7 p.m., an off-obligation officer in his cruiser did not halt at a cease signal at Yacht Club Street and Ortega Boulevard and hit a van, the Sheriff’s Workplace stated.
