Authorities are investigating after threatening graffiti was present in a toilet at Lincoln Park Excessive Faculty on the North Aspect.

Officials at the faculty, situated at 2001 N. Orchard St., have been “made aware of a possible menace to the varsity” on Wednesday, in accordance with an e mail despatched to oldsters.

A LPHS father or mother stated graffiti referencing a capturing on Dec. 14 was found in a toilet.

“We take all threats very significantly, and we immediately contacted the Chicago Police Division and CPS Workplace of Security and Safety,” officers wrote in the e-mail.

Whereas the menace is being investigated, the varsity will use metallic detectors and X-ray machines to scan “all college students and their personal gadgets corresponding to guide luggage,” officials wrote.

Police didn’t provide additional particulars concerning the menace and Chicago Public Faculties officials didn’t immediately respond to a request for remark.
