Police shoot, kill man in Vancouver

VANCOUVER, Wash. — Two officers shot and killed a person in Vancouver on Thursday night, based on police.

The capturing occurred close to West twelfth and Jefferson streets. Police responded to a report of a disturbance with a weapon at around 4:forty five p.m.

Callers reported the person was waving a gun and pointing it at passersby, in response to Vancouver police. A short time later, officers arrived and finally shot the man.

A neighbor stated he heard police hearth several photographs.

“I was in the back room and I heard some yelling, then I heard pop, pop, pop,” stated Joe Lawson.

Lawson stated he tried to run over to the person however officers informed him he’d be shot if he did. Lawson stated no one gave the person CPR.

“All these officers have been on the north finish of the block and over right here, they usually watched him die,” Lawson stated.

The man has not been identified. A good friend stated the person had a 5-yr-previous daughter.

“He was just making an attempt to do better to be in his daughter’s life. That’s all he was making an attempt to do. He didn’t deserve this, he really didn’t,” stated Kayla Nicole.

The officers weren’t injured. They have been positioned on crucial incident depart, per normal protocol. They weren’t recognized.
