Summit Grill’s new Gladstone restaurant has new menu items


This little strip of North Oak Trafficway has been recognized extra for quick-meals choices than full-service eating.

So when friends walked into the new Gladstone Summit Grill during pre-opening events this week, there were many stunned appears as they took in the 10,000-square-foot area with its hovering 20-foot ceiling and pictures of the Northland.

“It has an open-air really feel with a whole lot of home windows on the exterior partitions. That’s engaging,” stated Andy Lock, associate in Summit Grill with Domhnall Molloy.

The brand new restaurant, at 501 N.E. 70th St., is on the first flooring of the Heights at Linden Square, a combined-use house building with 224 models and in an area designed to be the brand new downtown gathering area for Gladstone. It’s near the Gladstone Group Middle and Linden Square’s amphitheater, which presents live shows, films, a skating rink, festivals and other occasions throughout the year.

The restaurant seats up to four00 clients, together with personal eating choices for as much as 250 individuals. A patio, with hearth, will seat about forty individuals.

It opens for dinner at 3 p.m. Wednesday and then lunch and dinner on Thursday, Dec. 13. Saturday and Sunday brunch will begin this weekend.

Lock and Molloy have been the Higher Kansas City Restaurant Association’s 2017 Restaurateurs of the Yr for their Summit Group LLC.

They first opened Summit Grill in Lee’s Summit in 2012 and added a Waldo location two years later. The menu consists of pot roast, hen fried hen, Prime Rib Dip, grilled Faroe Island Atlantic salmon, Parmesan-rusted tilapia, pan-seared Duroc pork chops and steaks.

Summit Grill’s culinary director, Po Wang, has created some new gadgets for the Gladstone location: baked brie, a Pimento Cheeseburger and a grilled hen and goat cheese salad.

Hours might be eleven a.m. to 1 a.m. Monday by means of Thursday (with the kitchen closing at 10 p.m.); 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Friday (with the kitchen closing at eleven p.m.); 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday (with the kitchen closing at eleven p.m.); and 10 a.m. to midnight Sunday (with the kitchen closing at 9 p.m.).
